Launch of the Human Milk Bank at Nsambya Hospital

As the team joins the world to commemorate World Premature Day, one of the strategies to improve survival of preterm babies in Uganda is the launch of the Human Milk bank at Nsambya Hospital on the 26th of November 2021 at Pope Square. The Ministry of Health, Donors, Implementing Partners and Health Care Providers were all in attendance.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Specialised Eyecare Clinic – 31.08.2021

The Comprehensive Eye Care Project at Nsambya Hospital is one of the latest projects financed by Lions Clubs International Foundation. The project involves construction of a two-storey specialized eye care hospital which will be equipped with the latest high-tech eye-care equipment. It also involves training of eye-care health workers including opticians, ophthalmologists, and technicians. Outreach activities will also be conducted under the auspices of St. Francis Hospital Nsambya to take services nearer to communities in need.

Commissioning of the MRI

The Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese His Grace Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga represented by Msgr. Charles Kasibante Blessed and commissioned the MRI on 22nd May 2018.
